Assist the India Design Council with the operation and management of the Design Education Quality Mark, to make significant contributions to the development, monitoring, review, management and implementation of our Higher Education Review Framework and procedures and associated administrative systems.

The DEQM entails monitoring, inspection, evaluation and reporting on the process of teaching and learning, on the development and the implementation of the curriculum, syllabi, pedagogy, resources, the necessary modes of assessment and on the administration, the assurance and auditing of quality and standards in design education institutions.

Education Officer under the direction of superiors shall generally have the powers and responsibilities for the fulfillment of the functions of the DEQM. The qualities being sought for in this post are those of a capable educator, with vision, knowledge, competencies and drive to improve the Indian Design education system within the context of the DEQM.

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.

Education

A minimum bachelor's degree. Preferably a suitable Masters qualification. The candidate must show progressively responsible experience of about 3 years.

Experience

  • Previous relevant experience in higher education administration.
  • Experience of servicing committees and managing committee business.
  • Experience of report writing and data analysis.
  • Understanding of current policies in higher education, particularly in relation to quality assurance.
  • Specific experience of quality assurance administration in higher or further education.
  • Experience of training others in Quality Assurance, e.g. running workshops and writing materials and guidelines.

  • Advanced IT skills, including MS Office applications.
