Supervise India Design Council's official social media accounts, content strategy and online media relations outreach, using (but not limited to) platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Work with the stakeholders to generate online and social media content and reach desired audiences.
- Coordinate and lead the digital and social media presence for marketing and promotions of IDC initiatives, including but not limited to website posts, blog posts and social media accounts.
- Coordinate with stakeholders as required and ensure they present stories, photographs, video and other content regularly and professionally to advance council’s goals.
- Track and coordinate social media activities across the design spectrum, providing recommendations and leadership on using these tools effectively.
- Analyze social media trends and track new technologies. Identify and pursue opportunities for the institute to syndicate social media content beyond its own platforms to reach wider audiences.
Education/Training
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.
Experience
Work requires a minimum of two years direct experience managing digital and social media in a sophisticated and complex organization that has a strong external presence. Ability to both manage and create content in
various formats and media.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Writes, edits, and manages all social media related content.
- Launches and manages social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other relevant social networking sites.
- Monitors any and all mention of the organization found online; tracks alerts and monitors social media sites around the clock via mobile devices.
- Manages online discussions in a timely manner and crafts responses to blogs, other social media sites, and online news outlets.
- Conducts meetings to collect ideas from team members and oversee editorial calendar of upcoming stories.
- Oversees and/or coordinates the collection, compilation, and analysis of online activity data; develops, writes, and presents comprehensive statistical and narrative reports.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
- Strong creative and editorial writing skills.
- Strong interviewing skills and the ability to create timely and newsworthy stories.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse university and health care community.
- Ability to gather analytical data, compile information, and prepare reports for presentation to executive boards.
- Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.
